Agent Standup

Name and logo

The code of Agent Standup is MIT licensed: you can use it, change it, fork it and sell it. That licence covers the code. It does not give anyone the right to use the project's name or its look as their own. This page says what is fine and what is not.

The name of this project, its logo (the lead with its gold headset) and its characters are how people recognise it. Its author, Double Geste, uses them as the identity of this project and asks that they are not used for anything else.

Fine, without asking

Not fine without written permission

If you fork it into your own product

Give it its own name and its own icon, draw or bring your own characters, and say that it is based on Agent Standup. The MIT licence already asks you to keep the copyright notice. The drawing code is MIT like everything else; what this page restricts is using the result to brand something that is not Agent Standup.

Other people's names

Claude and Claude Code are trademarks of Anthropic. Codex is a trademark of OpenAI. They are used here only to say what Agent Standup works with. Agent Standup is an unofficial community project, not affiliated with or endorsed by either company.

Another, unrelated project also goes by the name "Agent Standup": a task tracker for AI coding agents by a different author. This page is about this project (the live team call at https://github.com/Atoll92/agent-standup), its logo and its characters, and claims nothing over theirs.

Asking

Not sure whether a use is fine, or want permission for one that is not? Open an issue at https://github.com/Atoll92/agent-standup/issues and say what you have in mind. Sensible requests get a quick yes.
